Welcome home, Lion Cubs

Dear Lockhart Lion Cub Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! It is with great excitement and gratitude that I welcome each of you back to Lockhart Elementary. Whether you are returning to our school family or joining us for the very first time, know that you are valued, appreciated, and an important part of our community.

Last year, our theme was "Level Up," and together we made tremendous strides. We celebrated growth, embraced challenges, and built a strong foundation for student success. This year, we are taking the next step on that journey with our new theme:

At Lockhart, we believe greatness isn't reserved for a select few—it is the result of consistent effort, meaningful relationships, and a shared commitment to helping every child reach their fullest potential. Our mission is to ensure that every student is challenged, supported, and inspired each day as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our dedicated teachers and staff have spent the summer preparing engaging lessons, strengthening systems, and creating welcoming classrooms where every child feels safe, loved, and empowered to learn. We are committed to maintaining high expectations while providing the encouragement and support every student needs to succeed.

Families are an essential part of that success. Your partnership, trust, and involvement make an incredible difference in your child's educational journey. Together, we can create an environment where every Lion Cub is encouraged to dream big, work hard, and discover what they are capable of achieving.

As we begin this new school year, I encourage every student to come to school each day ready to learn, every family to stay connected and engaged, and every member of our Lockhart community to celebrate both the small victories and the extraordinary accomplishments that lie ahead.
